Lesson 31: Kudzu
In this video I discuss the medicinal, eatable and fiber uses of Kudzu. This hated weed, "The Vine That Ate The South" is actually one of our most powerful medicinal herbs and extremely useful. This lesson is in memory of Channing Cope, may history remember him fondly.
Coffee Blues or Lovin' Spoonful on Guitar
This is my version of Mississippi John Hurt's "Coffee Blues", which is more commonly called "Spoonful Blues" or "Lovin' Spoonful". Different versions of the song were recorded by Pappa Charlie Jackson, Carlie Patton and countless others throughout the years. It is one of the classics of the genre and fairly easy to play. Hurt's easy going, laid back style makes this one a real joy to play!

The Herb Basket, another essential piece of equipment
Today, I show you my herb basket. While you can buy a basket, I think every herbalist should make their own to customize it. I made mine out of pine needles and upholstery thread. The strap, I made from yucca fiber. It is very strong and durable, deep and fits perfectly just below hip level. I'm 6'4', so I could never buy a basket that would fit my size. My herb basket is perfect for me!
