Lesson 7: Poke, a powerful medicinal herb that is also poisonous
In this lesson I discuss both how to eat poke greens (poke salat) and how to use the root as a very powerful medicinal herb. Poke is a great lymph cleanser, anti-inflammatory and good for all sorts of viruses, congestion, etc. And yes, it is also poisonous if used improperly.
Series 2, Lesson 36: Mimosa
In this video, I tell you about the medicinal properties of my favorite flowering tree, Mimosa. It improves mood, helps with anxiety and pain, has antihistamine properties and makes the perfect cocktail! This is the first video of the new series that will utilize better cameras and microphones and will allow me to go out into the woods and field so I can show you how to identify and use medicinal and edible plants. Good things to come!
